Cranberry Brie Poppers
This four ingredient appetizer can be put together at a moments notice and is sure to impress! The combination of brie and puff pastry with a hint of sweet from the cranberries and pear make this appetizer irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough
- 1 can Bartlett pears in light syrup drained and chopped
- 1 8 oz wedge brie whatever size you can find, simply adjust individual amounts
Keep brie refrigerated until ready to cut.
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or other dried fruit chopped up
This would also be fantastic with dried blueberries, chopped dried apricots or a dollop of your favorite jam (like fig) in place of the cranberries
Instructions
- Thaw the puff pastry dough at room temperature for 30-40 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- Flour your work surface and roll out the dough to approximately a 14 inch square
- Cut into two inch squares (the number may vary depending on how flat you want to roll the dough)
A pizza cutter works great here.
- Press the dough into mini muffin tins.
- Coarsely chop the pears and put a few chunks into the center of each square.
- Cut edges from brie, cube into bite size pieces and place over pear.
- Top each with dried cranberries.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
